Learning Theory

Learning theories occupies center stage when it comes to predicting student outcomes. Reseach shows that well designed instruction founded on sound theory is more effective than instruction that is not.

I am a firm believer in the importance of theory in the instructional design process. I am however, a disciple of Anna Sfard in that pragmatic concerns and student outcomes do and must influence the design of instruction.
